LP Meechai is from Surin Province in Thailand near the Cambodian border. He has lived in a cave where there is also a big black snake. It is said that this snake will come to the foothill to accompany LP up to the cave whenever LP returns to the cave. LP MeeChai learnt from Luang Phu Dun and Luang Phu Krun at Wat Burat Pharam.
LP Meechai is a popular monk among the Chinese community who seek his blessings to improve their business, fortune or health. He founded several temple in Malaysia to helps people. Currently his disciples helping to take care of these temples. Nowadays he is rest usually at Surin due to old age.
